Supermodel Daria Werbowy was chosen by Stefano Pilati to represent the Yves Saint Laurent image for its new 2010-2011 Fall/Winter season.
Pilati is creative director of the house’s ready-to-wear division and personally selected Werbowy. She has previously worked for H & Summer and Isabel Marant. The fetching Canadian takes over from model Natalia Vodianova as Yves Saint Laurent’s ambassador for the upcoming season.
Photographers Ines van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin often work with Pilati. The duo took a series of black and white photos for this new campaign.
The background exudes a real classic feel and draws its inspiration from the 60s and 70s.
Werbowy is wearing a black dress and standing at the foot of a marble staircase at the Clermont-Tonnerre hotel in Paris. The campaign should begin in August.
