Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier teamed up with luxury lingerie brand La Perla to launch a designer collection of women’s lingerie. The exclusive collection will launch in November.
Gaultier combined his creativity with the Italian brand’s trademark feminine style. The collection offers bras, panties, corsets and stockings in shades of black and powder pink, plus coral and bleu canard.
The designer will unveil two special limited edition creations during his haute couture fashion show for the Fall/Winter season taking place on July 7 in Paris.
FashionandRunway.com reports Gaultier plans to show off "a backstitch satin bra with a shoulder-strap motif and glove-holding strings and a suspender belt with protege fesses."
Jean-Paul Gaultier commented on the collaboration. He said this was a logical continuation of his work because "Lingerie is part of my DNA and of my heritage." He also described La Perla as "the pearl of the lingerie, with a long history and the best savoir faire."
The lingerie collection will be available in La Perla and Jean Paul Gaultier boutiques as well as in some highly-selected fashion stores.
