British band Bush is back together

Gavin Rossdale, a.k.a. Mr. Gwen Stefani, is reuniting with Bush.

Gavin Rossdale decided to put his solo career on hold and get back with the alt rock band he helped found in 1992.

The singer-guitarist stopped by the world famous Los Angeles radio station KROQ 106.7 FM on Monday (June 21) to announce the good news. He informed host Stryker that Bush was getting back together and will perform at the Epicenter Twenty Ten festival in Fontana, California in September. This will mark the band’s first performance since 2002.

And there’s more too… Bush will release its fifth studio album, Everything Always Now, in October. Gavin Rossdale took the opportunity to introduce the world premiere of the album’s first single, Afterlife.

The band’s last release was 2001’s Golden State. The band split up in 2003 and Rossdale released a solo album in 2008, Wanderlust.
