Singer Alicia Keys would consider adopting a child from Africa in the future. Starpulse reports her desire to help children in need is the result of a series of humanitarian trips she has made to the continent.
The 29-year old star recently announced she is expecting her first baby with music producer fiancé Swizz Beatz. She is already thinking about a little brother or sister for her unborn child.
The singer has made frequent trips to Africa with the Keep A Child Alive organization. It helps children who have lost their parents to AIDS.
Since her visits, Keys has wanted to help children and adopting would be a way to give one child a chance at a better life. She says, "Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me."
Keys adds that the people she met in Africa are the biggest inspiration in her life. She admits her trips were real eye openers and changed her life.
When Keys announced she was pregnant, she also announced she was engaged and about to be married.
