Us magazine reports that Miley Cyrus doesn’t want people to think she takes drugs because she doesn’t.
The 17-year old singer says: "If I’m ever seen out dancing at a club having fun, I don’t want people to immediately go, ‘Oh, she’s on drugs, she’s drunk. I’m never going to be that person. As long as I steer clear of that and keep that mind frame, I think I’ll be cool."
She also admits she will have a drink every now and then when she reaches the legal drinking age. She explains: "There’s a right way to do so — everything is good in small portions."
The young star confides that her collaboration with rocker Bret Michaels inspired her to stay far away from drugs and alcohol. She says: "Having him in my life and him telling me some of stories and some of the dumb crap that happens…he just makes me never want to do that stuff."
Cyrus is dating 20-year old Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. She met him on the set of the film The Last Song. She recently revealed that she didn’t particularly like his fashion sense.
