Doors guitarist will release an album

Robby Krieger will introduce the eighth solo album of his career.

There are labels that are difficult to shed. Robby Krieger will forever be known as the guitarist for The Doors, even though the band has not existed for nearly four decades.

However, this label does not prevent the 64-year old guitarist from composing music and releasing albums. He will soon release Singularity, his eighth solo album, which features him playing flamenco music and the slide guitar in particular.

He wrote some of The Doors greatest classics like Light My Fire and Love Me Two Times. He is currently on tour with none other than Ray Manzerek, keyboardist of The Doors. They tour under the name Manzerek-Krieger; they are not allowed to use the name of their former group, The Doors. The band has a permanent place in the history of music though it ended too soon with the death of their charismatic lead singer, Jim Morrison. He died of an overdose in Paris in April 1971.

The tracklist of Robby Krieger’s new album is:

Russian Caravan (Intro)
