The designer himself created and directed a series of images inspired by 1950s pin-up girls that starred model Emily Didonato.
The ad shows the model wearing various swimsuits and lingerie by the house of Eres which are worn underneath dresses, sweaters and one-pieces from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection.
On the Eres Paris website, the new campaign is interactive. Scroll your mouse over the model’s outer clothing to discover the bathing suit or lingerie she is wearing beneath.
The ad campaign by Karl Lagerfeld is destined for Eres’ European and American clients. It will be sent as a booklet of photos.
The Eres and Chanel brands belong to the same group, Wertheimer, so this collaboration was keeping it in the family.
