Starpulse.com reports Los Angeles prosecutors dropped an assault case against Kiss frontman Gene Simmons citing a lack of evidence. He was accused of attacking a couple during a shopping spree last year.
Nathan Marlowe and his wife Cynthia Manzo accused Simmons of attacking them and taking their video camera after he noticed them filming him at The Grove shopping centre last December.
The couple also has a civil suit against Simmons before the courts. They are suing him for assault, battery and infliction of emotional distress.
Gene Simmons will not face criminal charges for this incident because officials in the prosecutors’ office concluded there was not enough evidence to prosecute the rocker.
However, the civil suit is still moving forward.
