People reports singer Mariah Carey decided to abandon her role in the new Tyler Perry film this week, fuelling rumours that she is expecting a baby with husband Nick Cannon.
Filming is scheduled to begin next month but Carey suddenly decided not to participate on Tuesday (May 25).
Carey’s spokesperson, Cindy Berger, would provide no details about why the singer made this decision. She told People magazine: "I’m not at liberty to discuss her personal life at this time."
Pregnancy rumours have been dogging Mariah Carey for several months now. She and her husband have consistently denied they are expecting their first child.
The couple got married for the third time on April 30, the day of their second wedding anniversary. Cannon revealed they will renew their vows every year for as long as they are together.
