Away from home with Drake

The Canadian rapper adds more European dates before heading back to home turf.

Canadian rapper Drake has been selling out shows on tour in the U.S. before his debut album is even released. He just announced a series of European dates before heading back to Canada.

Drake is performing at several European summer festivals and is also Jay-Z’s opening act during the rap legend’s shows in Britain.

After his European run, Drake brings his Away From Home tour back to his home and native land for eight shows, including one at the Metropolis in Montreal on July 18. He will appear at the Ottawa Bluesfest on July 16. Then there’s  St. John’s on July 17, Winnipeg on July 22, Saskatoon on July 23, Edmonton on July 24 and Calgary on July 25.

The tour wraps up in Vancouver on July 27. His debut album, Thank Me Later, arrives on store shelves on June 15. Anticipation has been building and expectations are high. If album sales really take off, Drake might very well have to stay away from home on tour a bit longer.
