Husbands who contribute around the home reduce risk of divorce

Couple who both do their fair share of chores are less likely to divorce.

Since the 1960s, it was commonly held that a housewife took care of all chores while the man works. This theory is called into question after the publication of a study by the London School of Economics (LSE).

3,500 couples participated in the survey called Male Unpaid Work and Divorce.

It appears that the more husbands are involved in tasks such as shopping and taking care of children, the more it helps strengthen the relationship, regardless of whether the woman is at home or if she works outside the home too.

According to a recent study, the perfect combination which is less likely to divorce involves a woman who stays home and a man who works does his fair share of household chores.
