Trent Reznor sets the record straight about the future of Nine Inch Nails

The singer warns not to write off Nine Inch Nails quite yet.

When Trent Reznor announced yesterday that he’ll be releasing A Drowning, the first single from How To Destroy Angels, his new band with wife Mariqueen Maandig, pretty much everyone assumed that Nine Inch Nails was a done deal and that Reznor would only be looking ahead.

But Reznor clarified that Nine Inch Nails would possibly resurface someday. Even if How To Destroy Angels is his current project, there’s nothing stopping him from fronting two bands at once, if he felt like rescucitating the band that had brought him so much fame in the past.

Addressing his fans on Facebook, Reznor writes; "NIN is not dead and I am about to work on some material that I believe will be quite different than previous NIN very soon."

Until we learn more about his plans for NIN, we can look forward to the How To Destroy Angels EP that should be released in the spring.
