Heath Canada inquiry into Pampers

After numerous complaints about severe irritation caused by Pampers diapers, authorities begin an inquiry.

A new kind of Pampers are causing concern for many parents and their babies.

Last March, Proctor and Gamble launched new versions of their Swaddlers and Cruisers diapers in North America. The new versions are thinner and more absorbent.

However, parents complained that their babies suffered rashes so severe that they resembled chemical burns. The manufacturer claimed to have performed 1000 burn tests showing that their products are safe.

After numerous complaints, however, Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have opened an inquiry. On Facebook, a page demanding that Pampers reinstate the old versions of their diapers has 4,000 members.
