SJP narrates exhibit at the Met

Sarah Jessica Parker lends her voice to an audio guide for a fashion exhibit.

An exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York snagged a big voice for its latest audio guide. Next Liberation reports actress Sarah Jessica Parker is lending a hand.

The Sex and the City star has become a fashion ambassador of sorts thanks to her role as Carrie Bradshaw. She accepted to lend her voice to an audio guide that looks at the history of the dress in America from 1890-1940.

American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity is an exhibit that looks at how the American woman’s identity has been shaped through fashion.

Exhibit curator Andrew Bolton said, "Because of Sex and the City, she is so much associated with New York and with America, and with using fashion as a way to shape identity."

SJP is happy to be a part of the exhibit. She added, "As a devoted and long-time fan of the Met, it gives me great pleasure to narrate this exciting and surprising history of the art of dress. To be part of the Museum’s programs, in this way, is a great honor and privilege."

Parker stars in the upcoming Sex and the City 2 coming to screens on May 28.
