Lady Gaga dominates Europe

Her single, Telephone, sits at #1 on the European charts and so does her album, The Fame.

Europe really has gone gaga over Lady Gaga. Her single and album are both sitting pretty at the top of the European charts.

Gaga’s song Telephone, featuring Beyoncé, is first on the singles’ chart in Europe. Nobody seems to be able to knock her out of the top spot.

What’s more surprising is that her album, The Fame, is at the top of the charts in Europe too. It keeps resisting the advances of new releases from artists like MGMT or Slash’s first solo album. In spite of the popularity of these artists, they cannot dislodge the superstar from the #1 spot.

The Fame is Gaga’s debut album. It has been on the charts now for a whopping 65 weeks. It makes it back to #1 every now and then.

Lady Gaga is presently in the middle of a world tour but still finds time to work on her follow-up album. Her boss, Akon, told Vibe.com, "She records while she’s on the road. I’m flying out to Europe to work on some new records with her. Gaga’s just like me. She has a tour bus with a studio in it. Some of the songs I’ve heard are going to be crazy. She’s getting bigger and better."
