European skies return to normal

Air Canada intends to resume a full schedule despite some uncertainties.

Air Canada intends to operate a full schedule of flights going to and from Europe today, April 22. At the same time, it is advising passengers to take no chances and verify the status of each flight.

The airline says that all oif its planes arriving and departing from airports in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Geneva and Rome should do so without any problem.

A travel advisory issued by Air Canada today states: "Flights are full and while Air Canada has deployed additional flights and larger aircraft to get passengers to destination as quickly as possible, it is expected that it will take several days to accommodate all customers. Air Canada strongly urges customers who are affected to ensure that their personal contact information is available to Air Canada or their travel agent so that they may be contacted with their revised flight itinerary information once flights resume to their destination."

Customers can review their flight status at www.aircanada.com or by calling the airline’s flight confirmation line at 1-888-422-7533.
