New Etam swimwear

Etam gets ready to launch a new collection of African swimsuits.

Bodywear chain Etam has partnered with designer Ndeye Fatou Kebe to launch a new mini-collection of ethical swimwear showing a strong African influence, specifically the African savanna. She launched her label in Senegal five years ago.

This collection includes different tops and bottoms and is grouped under four themes. It offers different styles like the bandeau, high cut bottoms or string bikini bottoms.

The sale of these bikinis will also help to fund the workshop where the women who created this collection are working in Senegal. The workshop encourages the emancipation of women in Africa through work.

Called Fatou pour Etam, this new swimwear collection will arrive in stores on May 17.

Etam teamed up with model Natalia Vodianova to create a line of lingerie for its Fall/Winter 2009-2010 collection. This collection was inspired by Vodianova’s love of dance, music and movement.
