Liverpool inspires Lady Gaga

The singer gets creative in the Beatles’ hometown.

Singer Lady Gaga is currently taking Europe and the rest of the world by storm on her Monster Ball tour. She says that she wrote some of her best music to date when she stopped in the British city of Liverpool. The funny thing is that she was only there for one day back in February.

Liverpool is the birthplace of the Beatles. This is where it all began for John, Paul, Ringo and George.

On her website, Lady Gaga writes, "I’ve already written the first single for the new album and I promise you that this album is the greatest of my career."

Gaga goes on to talk more about this new single. She boasts, "It is the anthem for our generation. I wrote it for you, because of you, when I was in Liverpool I wrote the greatest music I’ve ever written."

Lady Gaga’s last song, Telephone, was a duo with Beyoncé. It is getting loads of radio play at the moment.

Gaga is performing tomorrow (April 7) in Australia. From there she stops in Japan before heading back to Europe. She then jets back to this side of the pond for a highly anticipated show in Montreal on June 28. She has also confirmed her presence at the 2010 Lollapalooza Festival.
