Young Canadian singing sensation Justin Bieber is a name on practically everyone’s lips these days. His new album My World 2.0. just reached the top of the American charts.
The album is a follow-up to My World which came out last November. That album only had eight songs totalling 30 minutes. It caused such a buzz that Justin Bieber’s team decided to get another album on the market pronto.
After his performance at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, My World 2.0. shot straight into first place, selling 283,000 copies. His first album sits in fifth position, profiting from the excitement generated from this latest release. It is the first time since 2004 that an artist has two albums in the top five. Nelly accomplished that feat in 2004.
Sitting pretty in first place, Justin Bieber, 16, becomes the youngest artist to reach this milestone since a 13-year old phenom named Stevie Wonder did the same in 1963.
