Designer Tom Ford is getting ready to launch his own lipstick line in partnership with cosmetics giant Estée Lauder, Coco Perez reports.
Ford created the Private Blend Lip Color collection that will launch in Europe in April. Tom Ford lipsticks will be available in stores in the United States in June.
The designer talked about the colours in this new collection and explained, "This is my take on 12 classic lip colours. I took the most universally flattering colors that a woman can wear, and then I reimagined them in a modern and authoritative way. These are signature lip colours for the makeup connoisseur."
The lipstick is made of "soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil, intended to offer a creamy texture and easy application."
The president of Estée Lauder Cosmetics Inc. said, "We’ve experienced extraordinary success with the Private Blend franchise in the most selective distribution in the world. Private Blend Lip Colour is a natural extension for the most discerning, fashion-forward luxury customer."
The Private Blend Lip Color lipstick collection by Tom Ford will cost $45 each.
