Vogue reports that French actress Mélanie Thierry was chosen to be the face of Yves Saint Laurent’s next fragrance.
Thierry recently won an award in the best up-and-coming female actress category for her role in Le dernier pour la route at the recent César gala in France.
The actress will represent YSL’s new fragrance but its name and composition have not yet been announced. We do know it will be launched next September.
Thierry may be best known on this side of the pond for her role in 2008’s Babylon A.D. She played Aurora in her Hollywood film debut.
A retrospective on the career of Yves Saint Laurent is currently being shown at the Petit Palais in Paris in collaboration with the Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint-Laurent Foundation. It started March 11 and runs until August 29.
The Petit Palais at the Paris Museum of Fine Arts is open every day, except Monday, from 10 am until 6 pm and until 8 pm on Thursdays. Admission costs 11€ (euros).
