Scorpions are ready to release their last album

German band Scorpions is dropping a final legacy album before heading out on their farewell tour.

The German band Scorpions will launch Sting in the Tail on March 23. It is their 22nd and final studio album. They made a retirement announcement earlier this year.

The Scorpions formed in 1965. Their most successful song, Still Loving You, came out in 1984, more than a quarter of a century ago.

On the band’s website, they announce the launch of this new album to their fans. They say, "While we were working on our album these past few months, we could literally feel how powerful and creative our work was – and how much fun we were still having, in the process."

The message goes on to say, "We finish our career with an album we consider to be one of the best we have ever recorded."

The farewell tour has begun and is currently making its way across Europe. It heads across the pond to the U.S. in June.

The Scorpions have sold more than 100 million albums during the band’s career. This tour will take them around the world to five continents to say one final goodbye to their loyal fans.
