Liam Gallagher will design women’s wear

Liam Gallagher decides to answer a demand from his female fans.

Musician Liam Gallagher was in New York this week for the North American launch of his Pretty Green clothing line. Vogue reports he announced the addition of a women’s line to his collection.

The Oasis singer revealed that there was a high demand from his female fans. He says, "A lot of girls are asking if we will be doing a range for them and the answer to that is yes, once we have got rid of all the lads’ stuff."

Gallagher adds that he is a bit surprised by Pretty Green‘s success. The singer-turned-designer adds, "Everyone likes the quality and fit of the clothes. Its success does surprise me considering I’ve got something to do with it."

Liam Gallagher will appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight (March 17) in order to promote the Pretty Green collection.

The Pretty Green men’s collection offers classic designs across footwear, denim, knitwear, jackets, trench coats, parkas, t-shirts, hats, scarves and accessories. It was created by a range of industry professionals and subject to Liam’s final approval.

Gallagher wants his line to have clothing men (and soon women) will feel comfortable wearing. When the collection launched, he said, "I’m not Jean Paul Gaultier or anything."
