According to Female First, the group Boyzone is at the top of the British chart with their new album, Brother. The group Gorillaz is in second place.
It looked like Gorillaz would take top spot with their album Plastic Beach but in the end it was the Irish group who sold more albums. Brother is the first album they have released since the tragic death of Boyzone singer Stephen Gately last October.
Ronan Keating of Boyzone said, "We can’t believe it. It’s quite emotional for us to be honest. We’ve worked hard on this one for obvious reasons. It’s been an emotional time for us and for the album to go to number one was very important for us on so many levels."
