The Toronto Sun reports that during his appearance at Canadian Music Week yesterday (March 11) in Toronto, rocker Slash shared what he really thinks about former bandmate Axl Rose.
During an interview with CNN couple John Roberts and Kyra Phillips, the former Guns N’ Roses star and Velvet Revolver guitarist only had good things to say about singer Axl Rose.
According to Slash, 44, "You have to attempt to understand him as a human being and where he’s coming from. I see things very black and white. That’s just me. And that doesn’t necessarily mean that that’s right. And he sees things in a very colourful kind of way."
Slash went on to say, "So I try not to sit there and say derogatory things about his personality, because it’s his personality that makes him so f***ing great, and just difficult to deal with."
After talking about Axl Rose, Slash revealed some details about his sobriety. He used to do heroin and cocaine but admitted he has been sober for three and a half years. He is the father of two boys, aged five and seven.
Slash drops his first solo album on April 6. He collaborated with a lot of singers, including former Black Sabbath star Ozzy Osbourne.
