According to Cosmopolitan magazine, Lady Gaga has an ex-boyfriend who thought she would fail. This helped push the superstar to succeed in the music business.
The Poker Face singer has dominated charts around the world since the release of her first album, Just Dance, in 2008. She received six Grammy Award nominations and won two during the January 10 ceremony.
She also won three statues at the 2010 Brit Awards, including International Breakthrough Artist, International Female Artist and Best International Album.
Gaga revealed that "I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail."
She went on to say, "I said to him, ‘Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee without hearing or seeing me.’"
Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Germonatta, is currently taking her Monster Ball tour through Europe.
