Model Jesus Luz, otherwise known as Madonna’s on again, off again boyfriend, is following in the singer’s footsteps. Orange News reports he signed a contract with her former label, Warner Bros.
The 23-year old Brazilian has dated the pop singer since last year. He demonstrated his DJ skills recently at some private parties.
He is ready to launch a pop star career after signing a two-single deal with Warner Bros. Madonna left the label last year.
The first single, We Came From Light, will be released in May.
Madonna is doing what she can to support her boyfriend in his newfound career. She asked her longtime collaborator Victor Calderone to remix some of his songs.
A source says, "Madonna really wants Jesus’ career to take off. She’s been… putting him in contact with as many of her influential pals as she can. She’s worked with Victor for a very long time and he understands just what she likes. Having him rejig Jesus’ tracks will give them a cool cachet which is essential to building a clubland buzz."
There were reports at the beginning of February that the couple had split due to their age difference and busy schedules. A few days later we learned this rumour was false. The couple showed up at the London film premiere of A Single Man on February 1 and seemed as in love as ever.
