Justin Bieber joins the big leagues

The young 15-year old Canadian just signed with Universal Music Group.

The stars seem to be aligned right now for Justin Bieber, the young Canadian from Stratford, Ontario.

Only 15 years old, Bieber already has one album under his belt, My World, released in November 2009. Now, five months later, My World 2.0 will be released on March 22. This is an amazing start for anyone. Now the folks at Universal Music Group (UMG) have signed an exclusive deal for this young catalogue.

The head of UMG, David Renzer, says, "Justin Bieber’s incredible charisma, talent, and mass appeal is already clearly evident with the breakthrough success he is experiencing. Under the skilled direction of his manager Scooter Braun, we are confident that Justin will continue on his path toward global superstardom."

The first album by this young singing sensation, My World, has already gone platinum in the United States. It is in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 list and reached number one pop album on iTunes. The seven songs on the album have all been found in one place or another on the Billboard 100.
