Alexander McQueen, favourite designer of celebrities like Madonna, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Sarah Jessica Parker, was found dead in his London home at 5:30 am on February 11.
According to MTV News, a police inquest concludes the designer hung himself in a closet. He left a suicide note but its contents have not been revealed. His body was found the day before the funeral of his mother, Joyce, who had died some days before. McQueen was terribly affected by this loss.
An autopsy confirms there was nothing suspicious about the fashion designer’s death. McQueen died as a result of asphyxia.
Lady Gaga paid tribute to McQueen at the Brit Awards and dedicated her performance of Telephone to him.
