According to the Daily News yesterday (February 16), actress Lindsay Lohan was banned from the Jill Stuart fashion show because she is a ‘brand damager’.
An industry source said, "A lot of designers, and especially Jill’s camp, don’t think she’s worth all the press she’d get their show."
Jill Stuart, however, denies she banned Lohan from her show.
The Daily News report went on to say that there was another, more personal reason for the star’s absence during Fashion Week. It suggested this was about Lohan’s ex-girlfriend. The source adds, "Fashion Week kind of belongs to the Ronsons. And Charlotte had Lindsay banned from both her show and after-party — just like she did this past fall."
In fact, Lindsay Lohan is not attending any shows during New York Fashion Week for another reason. She is taking part in a Haiti relief benefit called iRock4Haiti being held at Altitude 360 London.
She tweeted, "in response to the wrong Daily News, I’d rather be raising money for those that need it in Haiti @altitude360 than attend Fashion Week."
