Actor, director, producer and screenwriter Kevin Smith reveals that he was asked to get off a plane in the U.S. because he was allegedly too fat for the seat, reports BBC News.
Smith, 39, says he was ejected from a Southwest Airlines flight from Oakland to Burbank, California. The pilot thought a single seat was too small for him.
Smith complained about the incident on his Twitter page, saying "I’m way fat, but I’m not there just yet."
For its part, Southwest Airlines apologized to the director on Twitter and its website. It explained, "Our pilots are responsible for the safety and comfort of all customers on the aircraft and therefore, made the determination that Mr Smith needed more than one seat to complete his flight."
Kevin Smith has produced a number of films, including Clerks, and is now making a new film Cop Out starring Bruce Willis.
