Lindsay Lohan tries to put an end to rumours saying she is addicted to certain prescription drugs, reports Orange News.
The rumours started when the Daily Mail paper published a picture of the actress with a bottle of pills in her handbag.
The star says with conviction that she uses the pills to get to sleep when she is travelling. She says, "They are Trazodone, a non-narcotic sleeping aid for when I travel. They’ve been prescribed to me since I was in rehab.”
Last year, her father, Michael, publicly expressed his concern about Lindsay’s health. He said that the actress was secretly living with addiction and he begged her to enter a rehab clinic to get help.
He also released private conversations between him, his ex-wife, daughter and her former assistant in an attempt to convince her to get help to battle her addiction. Lindsay Lohan continues to deny she has a problem.
