While many stars would like their children to choose a different path in life, Tom Cruise wants his daughter to become an actress.
Cruise and his wife, Katie Holmes, took Suri, 3, to see the Mary Poppins musical in New and Los Angeles in order to gauge her interest for theatre.
Cruise says he would be delighted if she decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps and share their passion for the profession. He told OK magazine, "I’d love it. Acting is work I love. I love to create life and give energy, create characters and create stories."
Tom Cruise stars in Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz. It’s coming to theatres on July 2. The two actors had previously worked together in Vanilla Sky. Cruise starts filming a movie soon with Denzel Washington. The Matarese Circle is based on a novel by Robert Ludlum.
