Actress Angelina Jolie, 34, is one step ahead of her rival, Jennifer Aniston, on the list of last year’s top 40 Hollywood earners. This list is published in the March issue of Vanity Fair magazine.
Jolie places 32nd on the list, with earnings of $21 million (US) last year for her action film, Salt, coming to theatres in July.
Aniston finds herself just behind Jolie in 31st place. She made a million dollars less than Jolie. She earned $20 million (US) in 2009 for the films The Bounty Hunter, The Baster, Marley & Me and He’s Just Not That Into You.
It was Aniston who came out on top in 2008 with $27 million compared to $14 million for Jolie.
Both actresses are miles ahead of Brad Pitt who appears in last place on the list with earnings of $13.5 million.
First place on the list went to Transformer series director Michael Bay ($125 million). That put him ahead of Steven Spielberg who came in second place with $85 million.
