Charlize Theron might be getting lots of offers from the male sex now that Daily News has reported on her separation from boyfriend Stuart Townsend.
After a nine-year relationship, Theron has stopped wearing the ring that Townsend gave her to symbolize their commitment. The actress once said, "Stuart gave it to me as a sign of our commitment to each other. I never take it off."
Theron has recently been seen without the ring, at the Hope for Haiti Now telethon on January 22 and at her mother’s birthday party last week.
It was the 34-year old actress who initiated the split. She made a decision following their Christmas vacation in Mexico.
A friend of the star explained, "They had become more like brother and sister than lovers. It was she who ended it.’
The star is now living at their Hollywood Hills home while Townsend is shacking up at their Malibu residence.
The couple met while making the film Trapped in 2001.
