People reports that Avril Lavigne still has a good working relationship with her ex-husband, Deryck Whibley.
The 25-year old singer asked the Sum 41 singer for a divorce last October after three years of marriage.
Lavigne says, "We still work together all the time. He’s one of my best friends … We’ve been friends for a really long time, and we always will be. We’re family and we have a connection."
Whibley is producing Lavigne’s new studio album, Pink Crust. The release date was pushed back and rumours started circulating that the two stars were having a hard time working together since their split. Lavigne insists that they "work really well together."
The Canadian singer wrote the theme song for director Tim Burton’s new film Alice in Wonderland. The soundtrack will be available in stores on March 2 while the film, starring Johnny Depp, arrives in theatres on March 5.
