Céline Dion’s tour coming to theatres

The official poster has been unveiled for the documentary Céline: Through the Eyes of the World.

Céline Dion’s official website has unveiled the poster of the documentary Céline: Through the Eyes of the World that is coming to theatres in February.

Productions J is behind the project which peaked the interest of Sony Pictures reps when it was presented to them by René Angélil. They decided the documentary should be released in theatres.

Three cameras followed the Taking Chances tour around the world for 15 months, from February 2008 to April 2009. The 135-show tour raked in more than $200 million.

With Jean Lamoureux directing, Stéphane Laporte recorded more than 25,000 hours of film.

We see the singer performing but mostly behind-the-scenes moments about her life with husband René Angélil, son René-Charles and her mother. Cameras followed them everywhere, even to an Australian doctor when she was forced to cancel shows for health reasons.

Céline Dion hits the big screen on February 17.
