The actor recently shocked everyone when he filed for divorce from his fifth wife, Victoria, after 13 years of marriage.
The 73-year-old star only wants to be surrounded by his children and close friends while he undergoes chemotherapy for prostate cancer. Hopper’s divorce request cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
"I wish Victoria the best, but only want to spend these difficult days surrounded by my children and close friends," Hopper told BBC News.
Victoria is the mother of Hopper’s six-year-old daughter, Galen. The actor has three other children, Marin, Henry and Ruthanna, from previous relationships.
Sadly, the Speed star’s diagnosis looks grim. His cancer has spread to his bones, and doctors have little hope that he can win the fight against the disease.
