Popularity and star status can make some celebrities think that they have the power to bring on multiple births, and Mel B seems to have fallen under that spell. The former Spice Girl is hoping to have twins this year with her new husband, Stephan Belafonte.
"We definitely want to have kids at some point in 2010 or the beginning of 2011, because this year’s going to be pretty busy. Stephen has twins in his family and I would love to have twins. I think there’s something nice about having two babies, and they’re there for each other their whole entire life. That would be ideal for me," said the singer.
Mel B is already the mother of two daughters, Phoenix, 10, and Angel Iris, 2. Each girl has a different father.
Whether she’s pregnant or not, 2010 will be a very busy year for Mel. She and the other Spice Girls will be judges looking to find the five girls who will play them in a musical about their rise to stardom.
