The National Enquirer reports that the former Desperate Housewives star was taken to the hospital for treatment of a head injury following her horse accident.
"Nicolette galloped bareback near her San Fernando Valley estate in pouring rain – and suddenly got bucked off by her not-so-gallant steed, slamming head-first into the top rail of a fence. Instantly knocked silly because she wasn’t wearing a riding helmet… and barely able to move as she lay in thick mud about 100 feet from her stable," a source recounted.
Fortunately, Sheridan was quickly spotted by her boyfriend, businessman Steve Pate, who rushed to her side to discover that her head was wounded and drove her to the nearest hospital.
The hospital staff treated Sheridan’s cut, and after the doctors ran a few tests to assess the star’s internal injuries, she was able to return home.
