Heathrow Airport To Implement Strip Search

Passengers will have to be digitally stripped naked in order to depart from Heathrow Airport.

After being shaken by the incident that occurred last week, and remembering all too well the July 7, 2005 terrorist attack on London, Prime Minister Gordon Brown didn’t waste time to present a law that would allow full body scanners to be installed at Heathrow Airport, serving England’s capital. The announcement was made the day after London was chosen to host the 2012 Summer Olympics.

The English prime minister intends to implement the law as quickly as possible in order to add a more stringent level of security, since England will be the international focal point in just 2 and a half years in light of the Olympic Games. With long-time exposure to Irish terrorism, the country must now defend itself against Islamic attacks, as its citizens must sadly recall the 2005 London bombing on public transportation that left 56 dead and over 700 injured.

The British Airport Authority recently declared that the installation of full body scanners, which are known to practically undress the passenger, awaits European ruling on privacy regulations. Judging by the increasingly urgent situation, Gordon Brown has acted promptly.

With installation being planned for Heathrow, the scanners will also be accompanied by an extensive search of luggage for explosives.
