The 39-year-old rapper, Jay-Z, takes steps to ensure that each of his six bodyguards are at the top of their game every day. To do this, he has them drink a super protein-charged drink that he creates himself.
"Every day Jay-Z lines up his guards, hands them a protein drink of his own concoction – fresh vegetable juices, fruits, protein powder, wheat germ, vitamin supplements – then eyeballs the tough guys until every last drop is gone."
Nothing distracts the artist from this practice, not even touring. He always makes sure the hotels they book are stocked with the necessary ingredients, and requests seven glasses be brought up to him by room service.
For his Def Jam Records staff, however, he provides a different kind of beverage. As president of the well-known record label, every Friday, he offers a champagne cocktail so employees can mingle, have fun, as well as strengthen relationships.
