Joe Jackson’s Attorney Gets Probation

Brian Oxman may have his law license revoked.

According to Female First, Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, is in court trying to acquire a part of his son’s estate after the King of Pop died suddenly last June.

Jackson’s long-time attorney, Brian Oxman, recently had his law license suspended for a period of 2 years. The attorney was sanctioned by the California Supreme Court for failing to depose a federal lawsuit in 2002 and ignoring a payment order for sanctions imposed against him. Although Oxman continues to represent Jackson, his license could be permanently suspended if he gets himself into any more hot water with the legislative and court officials.

The patriarch of the Jackson family claims that he is owed a monthly allowance of $15 000 from his legendary son’s estate. A hearing on this issue will likely be scheduled next month.
