Brooke Mueller’s 911 call made while in the middle of a dispute with husband Charlie Sheen has gone public.
According to the recording sent to People, Mueller can be heard telling the emergency services operator that she feared for her life after being threatened with a knife. "I have people here. My family is here, but if I don’t file this right now … he’s in the other room. He is with somebody but he’s trying to leave," she said.
When the 911 operator asked for the name of her husband, Mueller took a lengthy pause before responding in tears that it was Charlie Sheen.
Sheen, 44, and Mueller, 32, both have past histories of alcohol abuse. After they had some drinks at a dinner party at a friend’s house in Aspen, Colorado, they got into a heated quarrel, which continued until the next day.
The actor was arrested on Christmas morning, and was charged with second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief. He paid an $8,500 bail and was released around 7:00pm. He is expected to appear in court on February 8.
Since the upheaval, the actor has returned to Los Angeles, while his wife has remained in Aspen with their nine-month-old twins. For now, divorce has not been discussed, and apparently, according to yesterday’s news, the couple has opted to seek counselling.
