Watch the Trailer for Celine Dion Documentary

It is now possible to view a few minutes of Celine Dion’s tour documentary on the Internet.

A teaser for Celine: Through the Eyes of the World, which documents her Taking Chances tour, has been released on the Web.

Produced by Productions J, the film follows Dion while she travels the world as part of her Taking Chances tour.  Jean Lamoureux directed the project with help from Stéphane Laporte, who compiled more than 25 000 hours of footage.

The film shows the singer on stage, but mostly gives a behind-the-scenes look at the star with her husband, René Angélil, their son René Charles, and Dion’s mother.  Cameras followed the singer everywhere, including to see a doctor in Australia when health issues forced the cancellation of a few shows.

The Taking Chances tour took place over 15 months, from February 2008 until April 2009.  The tour stopped in more than 20 countries and included 135 performances.  The 112-minute documentary features beautiful shots in Africa, China, Japan, and more.

The film has attracted the attention of Sony Pictures in Hollywood, who will be distributing the film in North American theatres beginning in February.
