Paris Takes Chance on Romance

The French capital will woo its visitors this coming February.

Paris will pull out the stops in 2010 with a campaign designed to attract lovers to its beautiful city.

In what is typically a quiet month for tourism, the City of Lights will put together an ensemble of amorous pursuits to draw in tourists from all over the world, eager to create romantic memories with their special someone.

Visitors will be enchanted by Paris Romantique, an event that will include several delightful itineraries. These dreamy programs are a joint effort of the Office du Tourisme et des Congrès de Paris (OTCP) and the municipality. They have also enlisted the help and support of the Sofitel Luxury Hotels chain.

Couples will enjoy long, leisurely walks or drives through the city streets. There are even downloadable maps available that are designed around the length of their stay. The circuits Un jour à Paris, Le temps d’un week-end, Des vacances inoubliables and Grandes occasions will be featured in February 2010 on the OTCP’s internet site.

There will be approximately 100 promotional offers made available to tourists via participating hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues throughout the city.

With the approach of Valentine’s Day, many Parisian tour guides and tourist associations will offer tours of various city districts at great prices, and in some cases, even free.

Full details of these romantic adventures will be unveiled online at www.Parisinfo.com on February 1, 2010.
