Bryce Dallas Howard in Next Eastwood Flick

Bryce Dallas Howard will be starring opposite Matt Damon in Hereafter.

Howard will be sharing the screen with Damon and Cécile de France in the supernatural drama directed by Clint Eastwood.

According to Variety, Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon) is writing the screenplay that focuses on three people, an American worker, a French journalist and a London student, who are touched by death in different ways.

Eastwood is also a producer of the film via his production company, Malpaso, with Kathleen Kennedy and Robert Lorenz. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Peter Morgan and Tim Moore will serve as executive producers.

Shooting began last month, and the backdrop is set in Paris, London, Hawaii and San Francisco. The film is due out in one year.

In the meantime, Bryce Dallas Howard will be replacing Rachelle Lefevre in the role of Victoria for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, in theatres June 30, 2010.

She also wrote her first script for the film that her father, Ron Howard, will direct, called The Originals. Ron Howard has directed many films, including The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons. The Originals is expected to open in 2011, but there was no mention of any actors.
