Josh Brolin Considers Men in Black 3

A role for Josh Brolin may be added to the next instalment of the Men in Black film franchise.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Brolin may be starring in Men in Black 3.

There are a few options being considered for Brolin, as he could play a new agent, replacing Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent K, or even playing a younger Agent K.

In the second film, Agent J, played by Will Smith, teamed with Agent K for one last mission before his retirement.

Will Smith has confirmed his participation in the third film, and it’s expected that Barry Sonnenfeld will return behind the camera for the project.  Although there is no date set for the beginning of filming, it is expected to start shooting in New York in 2010.  The script was written by Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder).

Josh Brolin has several projects in the coming months.  He will soon be promoting the Woody Allen film, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger with Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas.  The film’s release date has not been announced.  He will also be starring in Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, opening on April 23, 2010, and Jonah Hex, which hits theatres on June 18.  In January, he will begin filming Cartel.
