Tiger Woods Wants to Save His Marriage

Tiger Woods and his wife are taking refuge in their Florida home to undergo intense marriage therapy.

While reports of the champion golfer’s indiscretions and infidelity spread wider each day, Woods and his wife, Elin Nordegren, are attempting to salvage their relationship.  The two have started seeing a counselor several times a day in the privacy of their Windemere, Florida home.

Woods’ and Nordegren’s mothers are also there, giving any support that they can during the couple’s hard times.  Woods’ mother revealed that she’s happy that Tiger’s two young children, Sam Alexis, 2, and Charlie Axel, born in February, are too young to understand what’s happening at home.  "This story will be ancient history by the time they are old enough to learn about it," she said.

It was just revealed that Nordegren had asked her husband to fork over a check for $5 million, and has also renegotiated their prenuptial agreement.  The original contract, signed in 2004, would have given Nordegren $20 million if they divorced.  The new contract stipulates that Mrs. Woods can collect $80 million if she stays in the marriage for at least two more years.

A young waitress from Los Angeles, Jaimee Grubbs, revealed earlier this week that she has maintained a secret relationship with the pro golfer for 31 months.  Following her statement, Woods was forced to apologize to his family, saying that he’d let them down and let go of his morals.
