According to a report by the NY Daily News, single women believe that the well-known perfume is perfect for finding love.
A survey was conducted and the results published by London’s Daily Mail. The responses of 3 000 single women were tallied, and Chanel Nº 5 was chosen as the favourite scent to sport when searching for love. One in ten women also revealed that they met the man of their dreams while they were wearing the perfume.
DKNY’s Be Delicious and the scent Ghost were two other popular scents on the poll.
Overall, 85% of the women surveyed reported that they had been complimented by a man when wearing a fragrance, while two thirds revealed that even strangers made comments regarding their sweet smell. Most women felt that their favourite perfumes were to thank for having been asked out on a date.
